2. Live & Record:
| Chat、AutoScript、Teleprompt、Transcript、VuVision |
Preview?
1. Getting started
VuuStudio combines live production and multi-timeline editing in one project. Use Live & Record for switching, recording, and broadcasting. Use VuuEdit for media, timelines, subtitles, and AutoScript-driven shots.
Recommended start: open or create a project. Configure sources in Live & Record for a live task, or import media and an AutoScript HTML file in VuuEdit for post-production. Check Preview before going live or exporting.
2. Live & Record
Preview is the prepared image; Program is what is on air. Prepare and inspect content in Preview before sending it to Program.
| Area / control | Use |
|---|
| Screen / scene cards | Select and manage camera, media, desktop, and graphics scenes. |
| CUT / AUTO | CUT switches immediately; AUTO uses the current transition duration. |
| MIX / WIPE / DSK | Choose dissolve, wipe, or downstream-key style transitions and overlays. |
| Audio | Monitor and adjust master, microphone, media, and input channels. |
| REC / LIVE | Control recording and configured broadcast destinations. Confirm Program, audio, and network first. |
| Right-side tools | Use Chat, AutoScript, Teleprompt, Transcript, and VuVision for assistance and live production tasks. |
- Prepare the target scene in Preview.
- Use CUT or a transition to send it to Program.
- Confirm Program, then start recording or broadcasting.
- Watch Program, audio levels, timer, and status while live.
Before LIVE: inspect Program as well as Preview, then verify microphone/media audio, platform connection, and recording destination.
3. VuuEdit timelines
VuuEdit organizes video, audio, subtitles, effects, and scripts. The center is the preview, the bottom is the timeline, and the right side switches between AutoScript, Chat, Transcript, VuVision, and plugins.
| Track | Use |
|---|
| V1 / V2 | Video and visual media; a higher track normally overlays a lower one. |
| A1 | Audio, voiceover, music, and sound effects. |
| Sub | Subtitles and text. |
| FX | Effects and filters. |
| Script | Imported AutoScript HTML. Divider lines are shot boundaries; shot numbers appear after their divider for direct live/edit locating. |
- Create or open a timeline.
- Import media or an HTML script and place media on suitable tracks.
- Move the playhead to cut, trim, move, or adjust clips.
- Review pacing, transitions, subtitles, and sound in Preview.
- Use Export after confirming the timeline range and output specification.
4. AutoScript, shot numbers, and shots
AutoScript is a shared editable HTML rundown for both live direction and editing. It can be imported in VuuStudio or generated and revised from writing, images, audio, video, and reference material.
| Script field | Meaning |
|---|
| Shot number | A sequential identifier such as 1, 2, 3, 4. It directly locates the same segment in live work and editing. |
| Timecode | The shot or segment start time. |
| Voiceover / music / SFX | Spoken copy and sound cues. |
| Visual description | Visual content, camera, composition, transition, media, and generation prompts. |
| Subtitles and controls | Captions, PGM changes, audio cues, teleprompter, and execution notes. |
Import and read
- Select Import script in VuuEdit and choose an HTML file.
- AutoScript cards show each shot, with its number before its timecode.
- Each Script Clip divider marks a shot start; later shot numbers appear after their corresponding dividers.
- Select a card or move the playhead to match the current shot number and timecode.
Generate or revise
In Chat, provide the goal, duration, destination, copy, reference material, and constraints. Example: “Turn this voiceover and three product images into a 60-second vertical rundown. Include a shot number, timecode, visual description, subtitle, and music cue for every shot.”
Shot-number rule: keep shot number as a separate field, starting at 1 with no gaps. When you reorder segments, update the shot number, timecode, and media cue together.
5. Shared Agent
The Chat panel uses the shared VuMos Agent V17. It can write and revise scripts, plan editing, prepare visual copy, and organize publishing work with the current project context. VuuStudio continues to own transcript, video analysis, subtitles, teleprompter, and preview functions.
Useful requests
- “Turn this voiceover into a 90-second live rundown with shot numbers and timecode.”
- “Suggest an edit order and subtitle rhythm for the current clips.”
- “Make the visual description and opening-frame prompt for shot 4 shorter.”
- “How do I switch Preview to Program in VuuStudio?”
For host-usage questions, the Agent first uses this guide together with the current project context.
6. Settings: language and appearance
Open Host Settings or Settings to configure language and appearance. Language defaults to System; Chinese, English, Spanish, and French are available. Unsupported system languages fall back to English.
- Theme: System, Light, or Dark.
- Background: built-in wallpaper, local image, solid color, or clear.
- Transparency: adjust sidebar, title bar, and canvas independently.
- AI: use shared Agent settings for model and common preferences; host pages retain transcript, teleprompter, and video-analysis features.
Appearance changes only the interface. It does not alter project media, timeline content, or saved live/export configuration.
7. Common questions
Why prepare in Preview first?
Preview is the safe preparation area. Inspect video and audio there before sending content to Program.
Where is the shot number?
It appears before timecode on AutoScript cards. Later shots in the Script Clip show their number immediately after their divider line.
Why did importing a script not create visuals?
An HTML script is a production and editing reference, not automatic replacement media. Import, generate, or link the required material from its visual description and verify it on the timeline.
How do I get help for a specific screen?
Ask in Chat and name your current screen and goal, for example “How do I add subtitles to shot 3 in VuuEdit?”
